Quake2Lithium is a fansite and international community dedicated to preserving the legacy of Lithium.  Lithium is a server-side modification for Quake 2 created by Matt "WhiteFang" Ayres and released as open source in January 2010.  Quake 2 Lithium is easily one of the fastest first person shooters ever released with unique gameplay including an off-hand grappling hook and runes (power-ups).  See the action for yourself!  Ready to play? Nothing lasts forever, but Q2 and Lithium will live on in the hearts and minds of all that have played throughout the years.  Though this will be the final update to this site, it will live on for archival purposes and migrated over to github in a static form.

Lithium II v1.31 released!

Matt "WhiteFang" Ayres has released v1.31 of his signature Lithium II Mod focusing on stability and bug fixes!!

What is Lithium II? - Lithium II is a very configurable server-side modification for Quake II which includes deathmatch and CTF modes.  Lithium II is well known for it's red-laser style off-hand grappling hook and runes.  Have a closer look at the feature list here.

Your one-stop site for everything Lithium related has been launched!  We could say in a sense it's been 10+ years in the making, but better late than never! =)

So, sit back, take your shoes off and take a test drive of our site.  Come in and say hello on the forums, stop in our live chat room, and then go and download Quake 2!  Don't forget that if you need any help getting started or reacquainted with the game, help is only a click or post away.
